COVID-19 for Interventional Cardiologists

Abbott has invited physicians from China and the UK to discuss the key topics for management of COVID-19 in the cardiovascular system. In this session we will cover: epidemiologist overview, PPE requirements, best-practice sharing from China and Rasha Al-Lamee and Chris Baker will give an overview on the COVID-19 patient handling and management in their centre.

Novel Calcium Management tools

The increasing complexity of PCI treatment requires new technologies and strategies. This session led by Jonathan Hill gives you an overview of the commercially available plaque modification tools and techniques providing a calcium modification algortihm. The live case will be performed by Colm Hanratty and Simon Walsh.

He has long standing research interests in intravascular ultrasound, treatment of the left main. He was one of the top recruiters in the Syntax trial, the Excel trial and Co-PI of the Syntax 2 trial

Evald Christiansen
Dr. Evald Høj Christiansen is an Associate Professor in the Cardiology Department of Aarhus University Hospital. He has performed a series of studies as primary investigator in chronic total occlusions, bifurcations, coronary imaging, physiologic evaluations of coronary artery disease, and TAVR.

Dr James Spratt has global expertise in the treatment of complex coronary artery disease. He has been a leader and educator within this field for 10+ years and has worked and taught in 100+ hospitals worldwide. James is the Lead for the treatment of complex coronary artery disease at St George's University NHS Trust.

Jonathan Hill
Dr Jonathan Hill was recently appointed as consultant and the chair of the revascularisation group at Royal Brompton Hospital. He is a key opinion leader in high risk PCI and intravascular imaging and performs live cases and proctors on a global level. His research interests relate to intravascular imaging in particular with OCT.
