Dallas PCI CTO & CHIP

Info Agenda Videos

Details

This program offers insights into cutting edge topics that cover local and global needs. A growing number of patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) find them- selves in need of PCI or coronary artery bypass graft surgery, but have been told they are too high-risk for complications that may occur during these procedures. Left without treatment options, these patients deal with worsening chest discom- fort, shortness of breath, fatigue and heart failure. This conference addresses the advanced PCI techniques used during CHIP include rotational, orbital and laser atherectomy (shaves away plaque from the vessel wall, especially calcified plaque), specialized antegrade and retrograde coronary artery chronic total occlusion (CTO) approaches and complex bifurcation stenting.

Learning Objectives:
After receiving CHIP, patients often experience dramatic improvement in symptoms, improved quality of life and less re-admissions to the hospital. After attending the meeting, participants should be able to:
  • Understanding the indications for complex intervention in patients with coronary artery disease.
  • Management of coronary artery calcification and techniques.
  • Management of patients with coronary chronic total occlusion.
  • Indication and technique for hemodynamic support in patients for complex coronary intervention.
