David Niederseer

David Niederseer is consultant cardiologist at the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. After completing his studies in medicine (MD) and sports science (BSc) in Innsbruck, Austria, he graduated from a PhD-program in molecular medicine in Salzburg, Austria. Thereafter he received a training in general internal medicine and then moved with his family to Switzerland, Zurich to complete his training in cardiology. Dr Niederseer has a special interest in sports cardiology, cardiovascular rehabilitation, exercise training and testing as well as preventive cardiology. He has published extensively in these areas, is part of national and European societies, and is frequently invited to national and international conferences as speaker. Additionally, he serves as reviewer for leading journals and is associate editor for the European Heart Journal – Case Reports. For the EAPC he is Section Editor for the Sports Cardiology Quizzes, part of the EAPC Certification Task Force as well as EAPC Young Ambassador, Switzerland.
