Kate Hanneman

Kate Hanneman MD MPH, completed medical school and diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Toronto, a cardiovascular imaging fellowship at Stanford University, and a Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology at Harvard University. She is the Director of Cardiac Imaging Research at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging, covering the University Health Network, Sinai Health System and Women’s College Hospital, and is the Medical Imaging Site Director at Women’s College Hospital. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto and is a Clinician Scientist at the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute. As a cardiovascular and thoracic radiologist, her clinical practice includes cardiac, thoracic and vascular CT and MRI. She is an Associate Editor at Radiology Cardiothoracic Imaging and has received grant funding as principal investigator from the Canadian Institute of Health Research. Dr. Hanneman leads an active research program focused on improving health outcomes for patients with cardiomyopathies using cardiac imaging.
