Dr. Tayal is a triple board certified Cardiologist specializing in Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart Disease at St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick. Dr. Tayal's primary clinical interests include complex high-risk indicated percutaneous coronary intervention (CHIP), treating chronic total occlusions of the coronary arteries (CTO) and transcatheter heart valve replacement (TAVR, MitraClip). He is considered an international authority on alternate access for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and high risk coronary intervention procedures using the Impella device and frequently proctors other physicians around the country on how to perform these procedures. He currently serves as the Director of Structural Heart Disease at St. Michael's Medical Center. Dr. Tayal is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the New York Medical College, and Faculty member for a number of major cardiology conferences including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapuetics (TCT), Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention (SCAI), Transcatheter Valve Therapy (TVT), Complex Cardiovascular Catheter Therapeutics (C3), and Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) among others.
