Dr. Daniel Blackman is one of the leading interventional cardiologists in the United Kingdom and the lead for interventional cardiology in Leeds, which is the largest cardiac centre in the country. He is the Honorary Secretary of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society. He has earned a national and international reputation in trans-catheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), having trained specialists throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Japan in performing TAVI. Dr Blackman is also experienced in all aspects of clinical cardiology including chest pain, coronary artery disease, palpitation, valvular heart disease, and heart failure. Dr Blackman has a major interest in clinical research, having published over 80 scientific publications, and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Leeds.

Professor Lars Søndergaard is a consultant cardiologist at Rigshospitalet – Copenhagen, Denmark. Professor of Cardiology at University of Copenhagen, he published over 300 peer reviewed articles, and more than 15 textbook chapters. His research interests are focused on adults with congenital heart diseases and catheter-based heart valve interventions, as well as congenital and structural heart diseases. He led the first-in-human transcatheter mitral valve implantation (CardiAQ) in 2012 and he actively participated to several trials, including NOTION (transcatheter vs. surgical aortic valve replacement in patients with aortic stenosis and low surgical risk), and the REDUCE randomised trial (PFO vs anti-platelet therapy after cryptogenic stroke).

Dr Mirvat Alasnag was the first female interventional cardiologist in the Gulf region and represented women on multiple committees. She is currently the Chair of the International Working Group of the ACC Women in Cardiology Committee, a member of the SCAI Board of Trustees and ACC Interventional Leadership Council. She is also the chair of the Interventional Cardiology working group of the Tele-Cardiology Section of the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth. She is a contributing editor & associate editor for several renowned international journals and societies including Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions, ACCEL, Open Heart, Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine, and PCROnline. She has served as a peer reviewer for several ACC Guideline Statements.
