The International Cardio-Oncology Society is a committed group of professionals throughout the world who are striving to protect the cardiovascular health of all patients who are undergoing cancer therapy. By optimizing the cardiac status of patients with cancer before, during and after their treatment, we are collectively improving the overall outcomes including survival and quality of life. We aim to provide the latest scientific and clinical education and research for anyone treating patients with cancer in the hopes of enhancing cardiovascular protection.

Dr. Lalitha C. Medepalli, MD, FACC, FASE, RPVI, is an active member and is also a board-certified IC-OS Cardio-Oncologist. She has been practicing Cardio-oncology for the last 8 yrs. in Atlanta, Georgia. She is currently serving as Northside Hospital, Cardio-Oncology Medical Director, in Atlanta, Georgia. She developed several clinical algorithms that provide guidance for performance improvement and standardization of hospital procedures and protocols in the community system, promoting the use of clinical guidelines for Cardio-oncology. She authored many publications over the years on cardiovascular diseases, and cardiovascular imaging, specifically in her specialty, Cardio-oncology.

She is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology. Dr. Ninan has participated in clinical research and published in national meetings and journals. Her primary interest is in the treatment of hematologic malignancies and supportive care in oncology.
