The Emory Percutaneous Intervention Course is the longest running annual interventional cardiology event in the world. Based on the teachings of founder Dr. Andreas Gruentzig, EPIC has provided training for thousands of interventional cardiologists from the United States and abroad since 1981.
The meeting’s mission is to engage interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons specializing in coronary and structural heart disease to further enhance the care of their patients, mentor and train future generations of cardiovascular specialists, and lead front-line clinical research in the field.

Dr. Mehmet Cilingiroglu is Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at the Bahcesehir... Dr. Mehmet Cilingiroglu is Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at the Bahcesehir University, Faculty of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey and also at UT San Antonio, University of Arkansas, UT Houston MD Anderson Cancer Center (Cardio-Oncology). His areas of interest are complex structural heart interventions and new technologies as well as device deveoplment in particular, intravascular OCT imaging, VH-OCT and intravascular imaging of plaque and vascular healing response after various interventional techniques . Holds several US, EU and Canadian Patents. Well funded both US based as wel as international investigator initiated clinical and preclinical studies. Involved heavily in education of housestaff, fellows and also interventional community all around the World.
