He performs research at the Laboratory of Cardiac Intervention, NHLBI, NIH. He led the invention of transcatheter electrosurgical techniques to cut heart tissue, and together with a team of dedicated physicians and creative thinkers, invented several novel transcatheter procedures and devices that have been translated into clinical practice. He received his undergraduate degree at Cambridge as a Scholar, medical degree at Oxford with merits, and an award-winning PhD in cardiovascular sciences at King’s College London. He completed training in Oxford, London, and Washington DC.
