Why should you be interested in coronary arterial calcium (CAC)?

Find out how prevalent a problem it is and how adversely it affects coronary physiology.

We discuss the impact of CAC on PCI outcomes, review the adverse impact on procedural efficiency and assess the current and future landscapes of how the problem is being solved.

James Spratt

Prof James C Spratt has global experience in training physicians in complex and CTO PCI. He is the Director of Optimal CTO and the author of the Retrograde iBook and co-author of the antegrade iBook.

Robert Riley

Dr. Riley is an Interventional Cardiologist specializing in the care of patients with complex and high-risk coronary artery disease and cardiogenic shock. He focuses on the treatment of coronary chronic total occlusions, multivessel coronary artery disease (including patients turned down for CABG surgery), atherectomy, and those in need of mechanical circulatory support. He was born in Knoxville, TN and completed his undergraduate education at Furman University with a degree in Chemistry. He attended medical school at the University of Virginia and completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington. He then completed his Cardiology fellowship at Wake Forest University, during which he obtained a Masters degree in Clinical and Population Translational Science. He then returned to the University of Washington to complete his Interventional Cardiology fellowship, followed by the first ever advanced fellowship in Complex, High-Risk, and Indicated PCI and Hemodynamic Support before joining the group at Christ Hospital. He is very active in clinical research, co-edits a monthly newsletter on high-risk PCI, and enjoys speaking at national and international meetings.

Robert Yeh

Robert W. Yeh, MD MSc is Associate Chief of Interventional Cardiology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Katz-Silver Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
