Dr Yasutsugu Shiono is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and currently working at Wakayama Medical University, Wakayama, Japan. His interest in Cardiology is coronary intervention using a coronary physiology and an intravascular imaging. He completed his PhD in the invasive coronary physiology under Prof. Takashi Akasaka at Wakayama Medical University, Japan in 2015. After the completion of his PhD, he went to Imperial College, London until 2017 to enrich his knowledge in coronary physiology under Dr Justin Davies. He has published several clinical research articles regarding iFR, FFR, CFR, IVUS, and OCT etc. and made several presentations at major international conference. His interests in coronary physiology research are not limited only to PCI but also extended to patients undergoing CABG.
