Tim is a consultant interventional cardiologist at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. He... Tim is a consultant interventional cardiologist at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. He trained in London, Vancouver and Washington, DC before settling in South Wales. His clinical interests include interventional pharmacology, complex PCI and radial access. His research interests include optimising complex PCI outcomes, complications of PCI, anti-platelet and anticoagulation therapy, access site and outcomes, and mega-database analysis. He is an Honorary Professor at Keele University, and a previous recipient of a Welsh Government Research Time Award. He is a member of the BCIS R&D Group, the NICOR Research Approval Group, and a member of the National Cardiovascular Research Network for Wales. He is currently a committee member of the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence Interventional Procedures Advisory Committee and a previous member the Technology Appraisal Committee.
