Shruti Patel

I am a third-year internal medicine resident at Mayo Clinic, Rochester and a rising Oncology fellow at Stanford University. I graduated with degrees in Molecular Biology and Human Development with a minor in Humanities from University of California, San Diego and completed medical school at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.

Cardio-oncology is one of my primary research interests as preserving cardiac health is a critical component of comprehensive oncologic care. More specifically, I am interested in understanding specific patient factors that put certain patients at higher risk for cardiotoxicity and the utilization of biomarkers for the early detection of impaired cardiac health.
