Dr. Zhai is Chief, Master Tutor and Director of Department of Vascular Surgery and Macrovascular Surgery, Henan Provincial People's Hospital and Fuwai Huazhong Cardiovascular Hospital. He founded the Department of vascular surgery of Henan Provincial People's hospital in 2017 followed by the department of Vascular Surgery and Macrovascular Surgery in Fuwai Huazhong cardiovascular hospital

He is specialized in endovascular therapy and hybrid therapy for aortic and peripheral vascular diseases including hybrid therapy for aortic dissection (Stanford B type) and abdominal aortic aneurysm.
