Dr Mungunchimeg Dagva is ISCP Governor for Mongolia. ISCP Governors act as representatives for different countries worldwide to encourage local participation and contribute to the ISCP’s educational programmes. Dr Mungunchimeg is Director of the National Cardiovascular Center and President of the Mongolian Society of Cardiologists. She has worked at Shastin Central Hospital, Ulaanbaatar, for 25 years, since her graduation from the State University of Russia. Dr Mungunchimeg has lead the Mongolian national telemedicine project from 2004. This project is leading initiatives for the establishment of a professional countrywide network involving all provincial and district hospitals and Central hospitals through online connection and regular scientific meetings. This project introduced advanced echocardiography diagnostics nationwide and significantly improved capacity for cardiovascular disease management at all levels of the Mongolian national healthcare system. The project implementation contributed in decrease of CVD mortality by 5.6 per 10,000 population in last 15 years.

Rungroj Krittayaphong, MD, FESC, FACC is a professor of medicine and Head of the Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. Professor Rungroj received his medical degree from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand in 1987 and subsequently completed cardiology training at Siriraj Hospital. He joined visiting cardiology fellowship at the University of North Carolina, USA from 1993 to 1995, and in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Southern California, USA in 1996. Professor Rungroj’s research interests include cardiac MRI, atrial fibrillation, ventricular arrhythmia, radiofrequency ablation and heart rate variability. He is currently the Vice President of the Heart Association of Thailand and President Elect of the ASEAN Federation of Cardiology. He has authored more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals including JACC, European Heart Journal and Circulation.

Takanori Ikeda, MD, PhD is currently Professor and Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Toho University Faculty of Medicine and Director of Cardiovascular Center at Toho University Medical Center in Tokyo, Japan. He is currently appointed as President-Elect of the ISHNE, Trustee of the ISE, Governor of the ISCP, Trustee of the JCS, Trustee of the JHRS, Vice President of the J-ISCP, and Trustee of the CVSS. He is also Fellows (FACC, FESC, FJCS, and so on) of several scientific societies. Professor Ikeda has published numerous peer-review articles over 200 including Lancet, Circulation, J Am Coll Cardiol, Heart Rhythm, and so on. He has edited many textbooks related to cardiovascular diseases and also serves on the editorial board in several academic journals. He has received multiple awards in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. He has currently conducted multicenter clinical trials regarding anticoagulation therapy, device therapy, and risk stratification.
