Dr Christopher Cook is a Medical Research Council Clinical Fellow at Imperial College London, undertaking a PhD in coronary physiology under the supervision of Dr Justin Davies. He studied Medicine at University College London (UCL) and graduated with Distinction (Clinical Medicine and Clinical Sciences) in his final MBBS Examinations in 2009. He achieved a First Class (Honours) Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology undertaking a period of research at The Hatter Cardiovascular Institute. He was awarded ‘The Dean’s List’ for outstanding performance in the Faculty of Life Sciences. In total he was awarded 17 prizes including the prestigious Gold Medal Medicine (proxime accessit). In 2014, he was awarded the Imperial Valve and Cardiovascular Course Young Investigator Prize. In 2015 he was awarded the inaugural EuroPCR’s Got Talent Award. In 2017 he was elected onto the EuroPCR Clinical Programme Committee.

He then received his Structural Heart intervention training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. He trained in internal medicine at the University of Texas in Houston, and Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Tufts/New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Jafary is American board-certified in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac CT. Dr. Jafary is a high-volume operator and has a special interest in performing complex high-risk coronary interventions including but not limited to the use of intracoronary imaging, physiology, atherectomy, and mechanical cardiac support. Dr. Jafary has a long history of involvement with academic activities. He has spent a career in academia and teaching, has lectured extensively, and is a reviewer for several international cardiology journals.

Dr. Sang-Wook Kim is a Professor of Medicine at Chung–Ang University. He graduated from Chung–Ang University, and obtained his PhD in the same school. Dr Kim has completed his fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center, United States after Asan Medical center, Korea. He has extensively involved in clinical trials, led and participated in a number of clinical trials in interventional cardiology and published a number of publications. Dr. Kim is affiliated with several international and national prestigious interventional cardiology societies. He is a peer-reviewer of many international and national journals including Circulation-Cardiovascular Interventions, American Journal of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, International Journal of Cardiology, International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging and Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Kim has led Korea Cardiovascular Interventional Imaging Forum as an organizing chair since 2007, and the founder of Cardiovascular Bioresearch Foundation. He is currently a chair of CHORUS SEOUL, a Director of Heart Research Institute, an editorial board of Cardiology Journal and a board member of Korean Society of Interventional Cardiology (KSIC).
