He is also a Researcher in the field of coronary physiology, myocardial infarction, frailty, bioresorbable vascular scaffolds, physical activity and neural interfaces. He has 90 articles indexed on Pubmed and is the Principal Investigator of the ongoing international randomised FIRE trial which recently concluded the enrollment of 1400 older MI patients with MVD.
