Jaffar is Director of Cardiovascular Innovation and Director of Interventional Electrosurgery at St Francis Hospital and Heart Center, Roslyn, NY. He performs research at the Laboratory of Cardiac Intervention, NHLBI, NIH. He led the invention of transcatheter electrosurgical techniques to cut heart tissue, and together with a team of dedicated physicians and creative thinkers, invented several novel transcatheter procedures and devices that have been translated into clinical practice. He received his undergraduate degree at Cambridge as a Scholar, medical degree at Oxford with merits, and an award-winning PhD in cardiovascular sciences at King’s College London. He completed training in Oxford, London, and Washington DC. He has written over 130 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has given over 50 invited lectures, including 4 late breaking clinical trial presentations. He is a regular live case operator.

Jason is a PGY4 integrated cardiac surgery resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his bachelors degree in Neuroscience at Columbia University and attended the Perelman School of Medicine. He is a writer for the healthcare section of the Philadelphia Inquirer and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in bioethics with a particular interest in surgeon communication and patient decision-making. He plans to pursue a career in academic cardiac surgery.

Dr. Halaby is an interventional cardiologist. She completed fellowship in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She previously completed residency in internal medicine and post-doctoral research fellowship at BIDMC of Harvard Medical School. Her interests are in valvular diseases and structural heart interventions.
