Jason is a PGY4 integrated cardiac surgery resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his bachelors degree in Neuroscience at Columbia University and attended the Perelman School of Medicine. He is a writer for the healthcare section of the Philadelphia Inquirer and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in bioethics with a particular interest in surgeon communication and patient decision-making. He plans to pursue a career in academic cardiac surgery.

Dr. Halaby is an interventional cardiologist. She completed fellowship in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. After moving to the United States, he completed his general surgery residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY (2014), cardiothoracic surgery residency at Columbia University Medical Center, New York, NY (2016), aortic surgery fellowship at University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA (2017), and aortic and endovascular fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH (2018). He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the Japan Surgical Society.
