Dr. Franco Fabbiocchi graduated from the University of Milan in 1979 and specialized in Cardiology in 1981. From December 1981 he began to carry out his clinical and research activities at the Monzino Cardiology Center, initially at the Coronary Intensive Care Unit and since 1986 in the Hemodynamics Laboratory. Since 1992 he has been in charge of the U.O. of Diagnostic Cardiology I, retaining the role of senior hemodynamist in the field of invasive and interventional cardiology. Since 1995 he has been a professor at the first School of Specialization in Cardiology of the University of Milan. During these years he has participated in numerous clinical research studies, from which over 200 publications have been derived. The research activity mainly concerned the study of the coronary circulation, both from a pathophysiological and therapeutic point of view.
