Dr O’Sullivan received his medical degree from the University College Cork, Ireland in 1990. After 2 years in internal medicine (MRCPI) he went into Radiology in Derriford Hospital Plymouth, UK, in 1993, transferring to St. George’s Hospital London in 1995. He passed the FRCR in 1997; and obtained CCST in 1998. He undertook a IR fellowship in the world-renowned Stanford University Medical Centre, Stanford, California in 1998-1999. Dr O’Sullivan was Consultant at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Chicago from 1999-2002 and has been a full time IR in Galway since 2002. Dr O’Sullivan’s expertise in interventional radiology is one of contributing factors that make University Hospital Galway one of the key centres in Europe for endovascular reconstruction. Beside his work on deep venous disease therapies, he is also collaborating on several novel medical devices’ developments. His particular interests include venous thrombolysis and thrombectomy, venous stenting, venous stent design, IVC and iliac venous reconstruction. Dr O’Sullivan was inducted as a fellow to the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) in 2016. Dr O’Sullivan is a Fellow and Examiner for the European Board of Interventional Radiology.

Dr Sukhjinder Nijjer is a Consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. He is the President of Cardiology at the Royal Society of Medicine and is the Communication Lead for the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society. He works at the Hammersmith Hospital as an Interventional Cardiologist and is an expert in Coronary Physiology. His PhD research focused on the development of instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR) pullback and co-registration. He has published over 100 original academic papers and has involved in the DEFINE-FLAIR, SYNTAX-II and ORBITA-1 and ORBITA-2 research studies.
