Jason Han is a PGY-4 integrated Cardiac Surgery resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his bachelors degree in Neuroscience at Columbia University and attended the Perelman School of Medicine where he was the student body president. He is a writer for the healthcare section of the Philadelphia Inquirer, teaches writing at the Perelman School of Medicine, and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in bioethics with a particular interest in surgeon communication and patient decision-making. He also serves as an associate editor for the early career section of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and as the head of the education committee for the Thoracic Surgery Residents Association. He plans to pursue a career in academic cardiac surgery with a focus on minimally invasive approaches.
